The constant ruing of my plans, and others around me, has got to stop.

I recently started working with my brother in law at his landscaping business, and it was going great. Hard work with visible results can really make you feel better about oneself. However this snow makes it impossible to finish our current jobs, and I really could be using that extra cash to take care of a few bills. My main job is enough to support me, but a few extra buks can go a long way in minimizing stress.

It's frustrating that my jeeps clutch decided to go out right before the snow storms hit, it could have been more useful than my mother's minivan. If we didn't live 30 minutes aparts, I doubt it would be such a big deal. I do feel terrible that she is without a vehicle at the moment, yet she offered it to me.

Although, I have gotten a few good thing out of this so called snowpocalypse. I've learned of a new VNC software called TeamViewer. TeamViewer is dead simple you use. No port forwarding, no extra configuration. Just install it and send you user id and password to the person you want to connect to your computer. There are even android and iphone apps for troubleshooting on the go. Very handy. The software is free for personal use, although you do get a nag screen at the end of every session. You can set up a free account with them and keep track of all the user ids, so all the client has to do is send you their password, which changes every time the program is launched. Also, there is a userless mode for connecting to a computer or server for use with the built it file transfer mode or if you want to check on your downloads.

The program also features a presentation mode where multiple people can log into one pc and and watch the user complete tasks. Along with the built in voip and wecam system, this can be an excellent tool for telecommuting or a web based classroom environment .

Media2SD for n00bs

Requirements:
Root
BusyBox
Apps2SD (EXT2/3/4 w/20+MB free)
ADB (free) OR SUFBS ($2.99 in market, get it if you can afford to)
TEXTPAD or Notepad++
Patience
20 minutes of your time

Please note that I have only tested this with Cyanogen’s mods. its buggy and he is trying to make it stable and actually work.

twistedumbrella, thedudeoflife, and cyanogen can keep it together under the pressure of the community. that place is ruthless. some dumbass wrote a page about how much i suck and how i should burn in hell for being so stupid, just because my suggestion didnt work. he got himself banned for that, lol.

on a lighter note, hero + rosie has been released, and is getting tweaked and polished as i type this.

updates and stuff

so i started a twitter account, mainly to follow the developments of haykuro and his android roms. nerdy i know, but whatever. the new hero build is worth it, it's an iphone killer for sure

Life, Trials, and PC repair

After surfing the web for about 4 hours and finding numerous amusing websites, I decided to create this blog.
Why?
